accept me to be
What lines and boxes, Ts and Is
must i cross and dot, or not
Fit in, conform to...
Who?
Who do you want me to be? because I am me.
This package is unique and maybe not entirely pleasing...
This personality has its quirks and beauty
This past has its broken places in process,
Healing
Growing
Can you accept me?
Welcome me and all of who I am?
Include and embrace with love and grace
and I will do the same to you.
We are on a journey,
changing and growing.
We cannot conform,
we must let the creator create
In my embrace of you, i heal a little bit more,
and in your embrace of me you heal as well.
May our lives reflect our creator's love for us.

An Artist?

What makes you an artist?

If I can draw or paint something that others think is beautiful. Or accurate. Or powerful. 

Am I an artist?

If the lines are correct, emotion impacted, is it art? Perhaps... Am I an artist?

I don't know. 

Does an artist merely create art? Produce art? Make artistic impressions from blank paper and a pencil? Or is it more?

Telling a story 

Sharing heart and soul 

A lifestyle of creativity 

Other than the status quo

Different 

Unique

Questioning what is

New ideas for what can be

An artist is a truth teller 

Inspired

Honest and hopeful 

Never content with the answer "no, that's not how it's done"

Burst through those boxes 

And be. 

Be yourself. 

And while you're at it splash some paint around.
